A Note to All Alumni

Dear Wrestling Alumni, Parents and Fans,

Although your high school wrestling career is behind you, we would actually like to have you back; however, in a slightly different role.  Whether a wrestler, trainer, statistician, cheerleader or manager, your role now is different; however, it is important to understand that you are still a critical part of River Falls Wrestling.

We want to extend an open invitation to have you continue to participate in our wrestling activities.  This is a unique opportunity to continue to support and be an integral part of our program.  This is especially true if you have new family members and children that are either not familiar with the sport or have been away from it for some time.

The most successful wrestling programs have continually kept their alumni involved and informed - long after graduation. Alumni are the lifeblood of new talent and future leadership for the program.

Our program’s pinnacle and most critical event of the year is the Northern Badger Wrestling Tournament.  In addition to being our largest revenue-generating activity, it is always one of the most exciting and fun-filled tournaments of the year.  This Christmas-break, 30+ team tournament is a perfect showcase to have your family get a great taste and better understanding of the sport - and to watch the best regional wrestling available – right here in RF!  Without question, many of these elite wrestlers will undoubtedly be on the championship pedestal in Madison at the WIAA state individual wrestling tournament.

We know that you may be more familiar with the middle of the wrestling mats; however, your help with this or any other tournament does not require any previous knowledge, understanding or experience.  It just takes a commitment.  We hope that your time in the program was beneficial to you.  There has always been a lot of people supporting you for your sole benefit.  Now it is time to consider pitching in and helping the next generation of youth through our program.

Please continually check this site for updates news and information.  We want to hear from you.  Please contact us to let us know what we are doing right or what needs to be changed.  Feel free to come to any board meeting (they are all public and all can attend).
