Team Building Summer Camp | Coach Contact Days
When: 12:00 PM Sunday, June 13 - After Dark Wednesday, June 16, 2010
We encourage all incoming freshmen, sophomores, juniors and senior prospective wrestlers interested in the sport and challenge of wrestling to come to this great team-building event.
We will start camp at River Falls High School and conclude at Kevin Black's Victory School of Wrestling (River Falls) and a surprise location for a great event. This annual event encompasses a lot of team building, goal setting, technique, live drilling, fun games & interesting challenges. By the end of camp, you should have an understanding of what little things you should to do as a wrestler in order to be ready and prepared for the upcoming season. You will also have a better understanding of your coaches and their ability to help you achieve your goals and development as a extraordinary student athlete.
There is a host of opportunities for summer wrestling in this area. Wrestlers are all encouraged to stay active, stay in the weight room and make good decisions this summer. The formula is simple for this summer: get in the weight room consistently; lift hard; and run consistently. Note: Speed and Strength Training Class Sign Up Forms are Available at the High School Activities Office. Although the class begins on Monday, June 14th, you can resume your lifting and speed training starting on Thursday, June 17. The program runs through Friday, July 30, 2010. There are five different times / sessions available each day to choose from. Students are expected to attend one of the sessions at least four days per week at the River Falls High School fitness room (weight room). Team Camp | Contact Days Detailed Information & Itinerary

Northern Badger Northern Badger Wrestling Classic Tuesday and Wednesday, December 28 and 29, 2010
All RF middle school wrestlers and non-participating high school wrestlers are expected to help during this event. While helping, it is eye opening for many athletes to see this very high-level tournament. To think that they will soon wrestle in this very tournament in the next year or two - is sometimes a bit overwhelming. Every kid in this tournament was likely in a middle school program, where with good influences and goals to be in this event some day. For those that have yet to see a very large tournament, this is an extremely good experience right here in River Falls.

Wrestlers can wrestle back up to 2nd place to qualify for state tournament. Sectional teams include Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, Eau Claire North, Eau Claire Memorial, Superior, Hudson and New Richmond, plus Antigo, D.C. Everest, Lakeland, Rhinelander, Merrill, Wausau West, Wausau East, and Marshfield. Spectator Bus to High School Sectional Tournament
The River Falls Wrestling Booster Club charters a bus for the transportation to and from this event. This is a 3½-hour trip no matter how you slice it. Weather can always be a factor. Some years have had perfect weather; although, a lot of you know that we have also had 8” snow, -20°F below zero or a combination of each. Take the worry out of the trip and enjoy yourself. We start boarding at 5:30 AM but will leave at 6:00 AM sharp.
Charge is $25.00 per person total round trip. We understand that if you have a large family of four or five, this can be quite expensive – as compared to packing up the car and making the trip yourself. So, for families of four with at least two adults (and kids), the cost would be $65.00 per entire family of four and only $10 for the fifth family member and each family member thereafter. The above costs do not include any food, beverages or the nominal admission fee to the event.
Historically, these bus rides have allowed our group to get closer; the camaraderie is wonderful, riders share many stories and become acquainted with more and more fans, parents, relatives and others. In addition, the bus allows non-competing wrestlers and managers the opportunity to ride along to watch their sectional-qualifying teammates compete - without having to travel with the team and at odd hours.
The charters comfortably carry 57 passengers. Registration will be on a first come-first serve basis. Notify Carlos Figi on or before February 12, 2011. Advanced payment is not accepted. We will collect on the bus prior to departure. Checks payable to River Falls Wrestling.
All students must have the spectator permission form signed and in-hand prior to getting on the bus. There will be no exceptions to this rule. We have strict liability protocol.

WIAA High School Individual State Tournament Thursday, February 24 through Saturday, February 26, 2010
The 68th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Individual Wrestling Championships is held at the Kohl Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. Tickets are available on-line on the WIAA Web site through Feb. 24. Beginning Feb. 24, tickets are only available at the Kohl Center.
The entire team, managers, statisticians, JV and volunteers are all highly encouraged to come and support those that qualify for this prestigious tournament. The team reserves two sections to cheer and watch from great seats. Get On the Bus Coach Bus to Madison for State Tournament The River Falls Wrestling Booster Club charters a coach bus and packages are available for transportation, lodging and event tickets. We have student packages available and fan / parent packages available. The entire wrestling team is highly encouraged to come and experience this fantastic event. In addition, you can cheer on those that qualify for a run at the state championship. Student Package Charge is $160.00 per person total round trip. Costs do not include any food or beverages but do include the admission fees for all sessions of the event. Note: no food, beverages or coolers are allowed in the Kohl center. They literally check all bags, purses, coats and camera bags at the admission gates. All items will be taken and thrown away on the spot. Therefore, almost all food (and water) will be have to be purchased at the Kohl Center. All students must have the spectator permission form signed and submitted with payment or brought on bus. There will be no exceptions to this rule. We have strict liability concerns. Students also need to turn in a permission note signed by a parent or guardian to the school’s attendance secretary at least one week in advance. The secretary will then give each student the pre-absence form at the time when they turn in the permission note. To clarify, the form itself is a high school form (obtained in-person from the HS office) and needs to be given individually to each student as they physically turn in a note from their parents to the attendance secretary. The participating wrestlers (i.e. state qualifiers) are automatically excused after the coach sends a list to the office. The activities secretary will e-mail the entire sign-up list to teachers and administration; after this, students are excused from school for Thursday and Friday. The state qualifiers themselves do not need to do the pre-absence form. For questions for student absence and procedures, please contact Nancy Gunderson - Activities Secretary - 715-425-1830 ext. 1109.
